About Jockey Club Youth EDcubator Programme
Teachers are key in education innovation.
We believe teachers should be encouraged and supported to explore and experiment with new teaching initiatives
so that they can continuously create positive impact on students’ personal and academic development.
The Jockey Club Youth EDcubator Programme is the first Education Idea Incubator in Hong Kong to support teachers in designing and executing innovative educational projects and initiatives in local schools.
Selected projects must be executed in the second semester of the 2017-18 academic year in local primary or secondary schools.
Primary and secondary school teachers who are passionate in education innovation and committed to leading new initiatives at their schools.
The theme of 2017-2018 is reimagining education. All teachers are welcomed to submit projects that include element(s) of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and other innovative ideas that address the needs of students. 18 selected projects will receive a program grant of HKD20,000 each to implement the projects in their schools, match with a solution partner according to their project needs and receive support from a university student technical consultant with relevant experiences.

Education Innovation Hackathon
Jan 13-14, 2018
Shortlisted applicants of the EDcubator Project Fund will be required to attend the Hackathon on Jan 13-14, where they will have the opportunity to gain feedback on the initial idea, learn pitching skills, perfect the idea and pitch their idea to a diverse panel of judges.
Not only will the 18 projects of 2017-2018 be selected, the top 3 projects selected by judges and the audience that day will win extra project fund of $10,000, $5,000 & $2,000 respectively on top of the original $20,000 fund!

18 outstanding project ideas will be selected to receive the EDcubator project fund and support.
18 projects will be executed at local schools while receiving continuous support from EDcubator.
All 18 projects will be exhibited to the public to promote education innovation and teachers, students and all parties involved will be invited to showcase theirs and their students' work.
